Our Peace Poles

The Peace Pole Story

May+Peace+Prevail+On+Earth+International

The Peace Pole program had its beginnings in 1955. You can now find Peace Poles in close to every country with over 300,000 placed around the world. They are one of the most recognised monuments dedicated to peace on earth. They have been planted in significant locations such as the Giza Pyramids, Machu Picchu and Adelaide Oval.

The Peace Pole Program, a signature initiative of the non-profit organisation May Peace Prevail On Earth International, invites peace makers from around the globe to plant Peace Poles in their communities. These symbols of hope and unity serve as a reminder of our shared commitment to peace.

Discover the legacy of the Peace Pole movement, a vision created by Japanese philosopher Masahisa Goi (1916- 1980) who dedicated his life to spreading the message, May Peace Prevail on Earth.

Spreading the message of peace

Community Groups

Building Strong Communities

We help empower Rotary Clubs, community groups, charities, businesses and not-for-profit organisations to symbolize unity, respect, and cooperation, fostering a sense of belonging, inclusion and togetherness.

Schools

Educational Initiatives

We collaborate with schools to install Peace Poles, promoting peace education and creating a positive environment for students to learn about kindness, empathy, respect for others, diplomacy and global citizenship.

Councils

Municipal Partnerships

We partner with councils to place Peace Poles in public spaces, encouraging dialogue, inclusivity, and the celebration of diversity.

Other services

Peace Poles are our passion, but we found along the way that customers wanted more to help grow as peace builders.  Working with Rotary Clubs and others, we have discovered some great resources to help you understand and build peace.  Contact us for further details or reach out to your local Rotary Club.

We encourage you to place your Peace Pole on the Virtual Global Peace Pole Map at May Peace Prevail On Earth Home

Peace Pole Ceremonies

We recommend holding a short Peace Pole ceremony once your Peace Pole is installed. Invite others to join you as you deliver a message of peace to your community. Then, each year on a significant date, such as the International Day of Peace (held yearly on 21 September) recommit to your message of peace by having an annual Peace Pole ceremony. A free kit containing resources for a Peace Pole ceremony will be provided with your order.
